Make Sunflower Wind Streamers

Materials:Sunflower
• paper plates (one for each streamer),
• lots of sunflower seeds,
• yellow construction paper,
• petal pattern - Print-out of the Petal Pattern 
• green crepe paper streamers,
• yarn,
• paint or crayons,
• scissors,
• glue

Easy Instructions: Color plates yellow or brown and/or glue sunflower seeds on (in a spiral pattern, similar to the one below, if students are up for it).
Sunflower Spiral
• Trace (or xerox) petals onto construction paper and cut some out for each flower.
• Glue petals onto the plates and glue long strands of green crepe paper streamers to the backs.
• Punch two holes near the top of each flower (through the plate), and loop yarn through holes to make a hanger.
• Hang sunflowers from trees or porch railings where they can stream in the wind.
