Easy Instructions: Print S*U*N*F*L*O*W*E*R*S pattern and make a copy for each student. Have students cut out letters and noodle around with them to make as many words as they can. Ask the students to write them all down and to use the words in sentences OR make up sentences using only the words they’ve written down.
Questions: How many words can you come up with? What’s the longest word you can make? What’s the longest sentence? Can you string sentences together to make a little narrative?
Rules: All words must be found in the dictionary; every student in the group must know the meanings of all words submitted; sentences must make some kind of sense, however strange.
